As graduates of an 8-week mindfulness program, we’ve experienced firsthand the transformative impact of mindfulness. Now, we warmly invite you to join us in stepping away from the busyness of daily life for a full day of presence, reflection, and renewal.

About the retreat

This retreat offers a sacred space to pause, slow down, and retreat from the constant stream of thoughts and distractions. It's a moment of respite—an opportunity to reconnect with yourself and explore your inner landscape with care and curiosity.


Throughout the day, we’ll engage in a variety of mindfulness practices, including guided meditations, mindful walking, gentle yoga, and mindful eating. These practices will help us root our awareness in the present moment, fostering a sense of calm, clarity, and self-discovery.


Join us for a day of gentle rejuvenation and mindful exploration of the joy of simply being.


Your guide for the retreat: Loh Wei

Loh Wei is a qualified mindfulness teacher, trained in the  Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program from the University of California, San Diego. With a background in accounting and finance, Loh Wei deeply understands the mental and emotional toll of corporate life. He has been practicing meditation in the Zen tradition for over a decade and has led numerous mindfulness workshops and retreats. His approach is compassionate, grounded, and accessible to all.

Date: 19 Oct 2024 (Saturday)
Time: 10 am to 4 pm
Cost: $68
Location:  Yogabar @ Orchard


We recommend arriving early to settle in at your own pace before we begin at 10:00 am.

Other Information

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing that allows free movement and breathing.
  • Cushion or meditation pillow (optional) if you'd like to sit on the ground.
  • Water bottle (water dispensers are available for refills).
  • Lunch: Our mindful lunch practice is a key part of the retreat (instructions provided). Feel free to pack your lunch and enjoy it in the retreat space.
  • Anything else that will make you feel comfortable, such as a shawl, socks, or a blanket.

Retreat Schedule Overview:

We won’t provide a detailed schedule in advance to encourage a sense of presence and flow. Practices will include mindfulness staples from the MBSR program like body scans, gentle movements, walking meditation, and sitting meditations. All activities will be guided, except during the mindful lunch break, when you'll be invited to practice on your own.


During the mindful lunch, we encourage you to find a quiet spot to enjoy your meal in silence.

Silent Retreat:

This is a silent retreat, meaning that we’ll ask you to turn off your phone or put it on airplane mode (not vibrate) for the entire day, including lunch. The teacher’s contact information will be shared in case of emergencies.


A reminder email with further details will be sent to registered participants a week before the retreat.
